When you think of the S’more, you probably think about a simple treat that is cooked over a campfire. It often includes a small piece of chocolate that is melted between two graham crackers and that has a large marshmallow as well. There are a few other S’mores recipes that you can try with some using a few colorful ingredients.
After the S’more is made, dip it in white or milk chocolate. Cover the treat with crushed rice cereal, crushed fruit cereal, pretzel pieces or other items that you enjoy snacking on so that you have a delicious square to eat.
If you want something that is a little more deconstructed, then combine graham cracker cereal, small marshmallows and chocolate chips on a baking pan. Make sure you have waxed paper on the pan so that the mixture doesn’t stick. Give the ingredients a stir before baking for about 10 minutes. A variation of this recipe is to use more chocolate, creating a S’mores bark instead of using as much graham cracker pieces. Dark chocolate often works best with this option. Another option is to make a chocolate pie with a graham cracker crust. Place large marshmallows on top of the pie, melting them for a few minutes. You can use a lighter to toast the marshmallows if you want them to be like you would fix at a campfire.
