The Dorchester Collection technically began in 1987 when the Sultan of Brunei purchased the Beverly Hills Hotel and the Dorchester Hotel. In 1991, the Sultan of Brunei transferred ownership of the two properties to the Brunei Investment Agency who still are in charge of the Dorchester Collection today.

The Dorchester Collection currently manages and owns ten luxury hotels. The Dorchester in London, England was the first property purchased. Not only are the hotels in the Dorchester Collection known for their charm and character, the properties are also known for their outstanding amenities. Several restaurants within the hotels are run by Alain Ducasse, a French chef. And in fact, the restaurant within the Dorchester Hotel is one of four places located in the United Kingdom that holds a rating of three Michelin stars. The spas in the hotels run by the Dorchester Collection are known for their luxurious treatments.

Each hotel is unique from the last so each property in the Dorchester Collections offers a different, yet still top-notch, experience. Some Health Foods Aren’t That Healthy After All

Business trends are closely monitored by every CEO in the world. And any of these corporate owners who are in the food industry is well aware of the health food trend that has been on the rise for several years. That’s why food companies are eager to market their foods as healthy with attractive advertisements and labeling.

So, how do you know which foods are actually healthy and live up to the claims of their advertisements? Mashablerecently released a list to compile a list of foods that are marketed as health foods, when in reality they offer little nutritional value.

Below is a list of common foods which are falsely advertised as being healthy:

1. Granola
2. Smoothies or Juice
3. Skinny Cow Ice Cream
4. Flavored Yogurt
5. Chicken Cooked in Restaurants
6. Energy/Snack Bars
7. Vitamin Water
8. Reduced-fat Peanut Butter
9. Agave Syrup
10. Multi-grain

Researchers and nutritionists like Keith Mann suggest eating a selection of whole foods instead of any of the foods listed above. which are mostly processed and contain high levels of sugars, fats, and carbohydrates.
